Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Hardscape expert to join our team. This role is essential for helping customers build and maintain aesthetic hardscapes & outdoor living areas. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of hardscape and masonry practices and the use of both manufactured and natural stone products. This position requires in-person and over-the-phone customer service, as well as hands-on work in both indoor and outdoor environments around the branch.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service to all SiteOne customers
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships with customers
- Assist customers with their questions and needs, either in person, via the phone or through online ordering
- Based on more experience and greater knowledge of products and customer base, responds to and resolves more complex questions and issues, especially as related to the Hardscapes line of business
- Pull and prepare inventory orders for customer pick up or delivery
- Proactively identify and capitalize on opportunities to grow sales with current and potential customers
- Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance
- Assist with merchandising product, managing inventory, and other store tasks while maintaining a safe working environment
- May assist in the onboarding and/or training of new associates
- Coach and assist less experienced staff in meeting expected customer service and satisfaction goals
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hardscaping, masonry, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hardscape supplies including pavers, brick, wall blocks, decorative stone, bulk aggregates, adhesives, sealers, and outdoor living accessories.
- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for helping customers select the best material for their projects.
- Physical stamina to stand for prolonged periods of time indoors or outdoors.
- Physical ability to perform occasional manual labor indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Working knowledge of common technology such as computers and mobile devices.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus (but not required).
