Glo Resources is currently hiring for Flagger/Laborer to work in Bluffton, SC. The pay rate is between $15 - $25 per hour depending on experience. Schedule: Monday- Friday 8-10 hours with overtime available.
Job Summary
The Flagger will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic around construction sites. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction environments and be familiar with heavy equipment operations.
Responsibilities
- Direct traffic safely around construction zones using appropriate hand signals and signage.
- Monitor the flow of vehicles and pedestrians, ensuring their safety during construction activities.
- Collaborate with construction crews to coordinate work activities while maintaining safe traffic patterns.
- Set up and remove traffic control devices, including cones, signs, and barriers.
- Communicate effectively with team members and provide updates on traffic conditions or hazards.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Flagger or in a similar role within a construction environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as Loader operation, Bulldoze, Grader operation, Backhoe operation, Dump truck operation, and Paving is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Valid Driver's License
- Bending, Pushing, Pulling, Standing, and having the ability to lift 50lbs
