Position Summary:
Summary
We are looking for a salaries, benefits, and a positive work environment where safety is our top priority. As a Asphalt Laborer to join our team! This person is responsible for operating heavy equipment to grade specifications, and oversight of paving crew.
Responsibilities:
- Complete tasks as directed by Foreman in a timely manner
- Maintain and clean work areas
- Perform shoveling, raking, and demolition work as required
- Able to work and assist others to work in a safe manner within the guidelines of the company's policies
- Operate Paving Equipment and/ or Labor
- Observe distribution of paving material along Screed and control to eliminate voids at curbs and joints
- Keep Screed accurately adjusted and maintain material quality
- Setup Paver, Screed, and Rollers
- Match all paver joints and maintain consistency
- Perform several tasks involving strenuous manual labor on projects; perform manual work in preparing surfaces for paving
- Assist in patching asphalt
- Ability to drive and operate equipment under varying working conditions
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements:
- Prior experience required
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to operate and maintain paving equipment and machinery
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
