Job Opportunity: Seasonal Road Crew Employee with CDL
Location: Town of Sharon, VT
Position: Seasonal Road Crew
Duration: 2024 – 2025 Winter Season
Join the Town of Sharon Municipal Road Crew team in maintaining and improving our highways. We are looking for motivated individuals with a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to help keep our roads safe this winter.
Responsibilities:
· Operate snowplows, salt spreaders, and other highway maintenance equipment
· Perform routine road maintenance tasks such as patching potholes, clearing debris, and repairing guardrails
· Assist in emergency response operations during inclement weather
· Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition
· Follow all safety protocols and regulations
Requirements:
· Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
· Experience in highway maintenance or similar field preferred
· Ability to work in various weather conditions
· Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
· Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as needed
· Drug and alcohol testing
