Job Opportunity: Full-Time Level 2 Road Crew Employee with CDL
Location: Town of Sharon, VT
Position: Level 2 Road Crew Employee
FSLA Status: Full Time, Non-exempt based on 40 hours per week
Join the Town of Sharon Municipal Road Crew team in maintaining and improving our highways. We are looking for motivated individuals with a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to help keep our roads safe.
Responsibilities:
- Operate all municipal vehicles and equipment including pickup trucks, dump trucks, bucket loader, road grader, backhoe, tractors, and other equipment as required
- Assist in emergency response operations during inclement weather
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations
Requirements:
- Valid CDL, Level B or higher
- Two years of relevant experience in highway maintenance or similar field
- OSHA 10-hour or higher required
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends
- Mandatory drug and alcohol testing
