Join Our Dynamic Team as a Sr. Grading Estimator
We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Grading Estimator to join our family-owned and operated company in Wilmington, NC.
As a Sr. Grading Estimator, you'll play a vital role in estimating and overseeing multiple site development projects, managing project timelines, and budgets, and leading site superintendents and subcontractors. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential as you'll be the primary point of contact with project owners and engineers.
This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to take charge of site work and utility construction projects from start to finish. If you’re skilled in 3D estimating software and have a track record of successfully managing project budgets, schedules, and teams, we want to hear from you!

Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in site work and utility construction project management.
- A degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is a plus.
- Proven success in estimating and managing civil site and utility construction projects.
- Knowledge of crew composition, production rates, and civil site construction methods.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project scheduling software.
- Familiarity with cost accounting is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and finalize technical drawings, design sketches, and details from provided notes and design parameters.
- Interpret survey data to produce base maps, digital terrain models, and construction drawings.
- Draft profiles and cross-sections, highlighting topographical contours and elevations.
- Prepare detailed design plans for roads, culverts, water supply, sewer systems, and more.
- Ensure all drawings meet current quality and CAD standards through self-checking and revision updates.
- Collaborate with project engineers and managers to complete work within budget and timelines.
- Provide training and supervision to junior CAD technicians as needed.
- Conduct field inspections and technical investigations to gather data for project requirements.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
