Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Flagger to join our team. As a Flagger, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of construction sites and the smooth flow of traffic. Your primary responsibility will be to direct vehicles and pedestrians around construction zones, while also assisting with various tasks related to heavy equipment operation and site management.
Duties
- Control traffic flow around construction sites by using appropriate hand signals and signage.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and construction personnel to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining traffic control devices, including cones, barriers, and signage.
- Collaborate with heavy equipment operators to facilitate safe operations on-site, including Dump truck, Loader operation, Backhoe operation, and Front loader truck activities.
- Support utility locating efforts to prevent damage to underground utilities during construction activities.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unsafe conditions or incidents to supervisors immediately.
- Participate in site preparation activities such as paving and other construction-related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a flagging or traffic control role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus, including skills in bulldoze operation and utility locating.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Must be detail-oriented with a focus on safety practices at all times.
- A valid driver’s license may be required based on job location and responsibilities.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
