We are currently hiring an experienced Rough and Finish Carpenter with experience in the remodeling industry. This position requires the ability to lead a crew effectively while possessing strong skills in both rough and finish carpentry.
Responsibilities:
- Perform demolition and rough framing of structures as required.
- Lead job sites, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Read and interpret construction plans and drawings for accurate installation of millwork.
- Install cabinets, doors, stairs, trim, and other millwork components with precision.
- Proficiently cut and install crown molding and other finish carpentry details.
- Review plans and drawings daily to ensure precise installation.
- Collaborate with a helper to complete high-quality remodeling projects, including windows, doors, cabinets, trim, decks, porches, pergolas, porticos, etc.
- Work both indoors and outdoors, specializing in installing headers, LVLs, beams, and other structural framing elements.
- Handle residential additions and lower levels projects with expertise.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in rough carpentry and structural framing in a lead capacity within the remodeling or new construction sector.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in finish carpentry, preferred.
- Leadership skills to manage and motivate a crew effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
- Possession of own tools essential for rough and finish carpentry tasks.
- Experience in improvisation and problem-solving when issues arise.
- Proficiency in structural framing techniques.
- Physically fit, able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Clean driving record.
- Reliable vehicle to travel to jobsites.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Background in high-quality remodeling projects in residential settings.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
