Job Title: Electrician/Civil Foreman
Reports to: Electrical Project Manager
Base Location: Sarasota, FL
Non-Exempt Starting Pay Rate: $280-$350/day
Summary: We are seeking experienced Electrician/Working Foremen to join our team! 2 years of electrical experience or higher for this position is preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-Electrical/Civil Working Foreman will provide immediate supervision to electrical crew members to carry out work for growing telecom construction group.
-Work includes power upgrades, generator adds, concrete pads, trenching, grounding, cabinet sets, running conduit in buildings, etc.
-Plans and organizes work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish missions safely, within scheduled time/deadlines and in a cost-effective manner
-Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, sketches and technical specifications to carry out project work assigned.
-Provides oversight/supervision to ensure all crew members record time worked attendance daily
-Provides daily work progress pictures and report to Project Manager daily.
Education and/or Experience Required:
- Civil and Electrical experience in Cell Tower and Rooftop Installations a plus
- Experienced in telecommunications a plus
-High School Diploma or GED required at a minimum
-Cellular tower grounding experience preferred
-Ability to follow all verbal and written instructions in English. Bi-lingual a plus -Directly supervise, instruct and train electrical crew(s) in a safe manner.
-Proficiency with the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and/or test equipment common to electrical trade
-Responsible for operating excavation and backfill equipment safely
-Physical requirements include: wearing safety gear, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, digging, driving vehicle for long distances, lifting of heavy tools and materials.
-Strong work ethic required: initiative, tenacity & enjoys a challenge
-Position sometimes requires travel, with overnight trips/stays
-Must have valid transportation to/from the New Tech office
-Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
-Must be capable of working both indoors and outdoors, and may require working in direct sunlight daily for up to 10 hours.
-Must have basic to average proficiency with Microsoft Office products to include Outlook, and Internet-based programs.
