York County Roads Department invites applications for Road Crew 1. The Roads Crew operates various heavy equipment as needed. Wages start at $18.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on qualifications plus benefit package (health insurance, wellness program, retirement plan, vacation, holiday & sick leave). Pre-employment background and drug screen required. The position is subject to a veteran's preference. York County is an EOE.

Hours: Summer: M-Th 7am – 5:30pm. Winter: M-F 7am – 3:30pm.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED.
1-3 months related experience or training, preferred.
Valid Nebraska Driver’s License, required.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to present information in small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions.
Ability to manage problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
