Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Road Crew Member to join the Township's Road Dept. The ideal candidate must have a CDL Class A or B and a PA Driver license and must live within a ten (10) radius of the Township's borders. Some experience operating machinery, various hand & power tools and equipment for maintaining all roads and structures, along with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. As a Road Crew Member, you will play a vital role in various construction and road projects, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

Operate a Township vehicle, snow plowing in the winter, maintain roads for paving and patching of roads, clean ditches and repairs to storm drains as needed, repairs to road and traffic signs as needed, stockpile road materials such as salt, anti-skid and other materials.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance checks on vehicles, equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Operate vehicle to load, transport and apply construction materials to road surfaces.
Maintain roads of debris, grass and trees using mower and power equipment
Ability to understand and follow oral and written communications and instructions. Learn and carry out routine mechanical operations, safety standard operations with machines and equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.

Experience

Previous experience as a CDL driver is required; experience with equipment and machinery is helpful; training will be provided for snow plowing of Township roads
Ability to work effectively independent and as part of a team
Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
