Has a good understanding of cycle times and construction operations. Maintains a clear motor vehicle license and remains current with DOT compliance requirements, including annual DOT physicals and Federal Motor Carrier Standards for over the road driving Self-monitors hours to ensure compliance and maintains an electronic or manual log book when required Ensures safety over the road through the vehicle inspection process (pre trip and post trips for each shift) Meets or exceeds project safety, quality, efficiency, and profit goals for work activities Works with field manager/team lead to ensure GCC has strong crew/teams and promotes and champions the company's vision to be the Leader in Safety, Quality, Innovation, and Efficiency Leads by example, always professional and always in line with the company's values of Fair and Ethical Success. The GCC Dump Tractor Trailer Driver WS 3 leads a field crew in the absence of the team leader Continually coaches and mentors project team members, providing them with the knowledge and confidence to excel and advance in their careers. Outdoor
Stand or walk for long periods; use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing 50 lbs.; climb up and down, carrying tools and equipment; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see (naturally or with correction). Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat and cold). Must be able to obtain a DOT Physical as set forth by FMCSA. See attached Physical Requirements Inventory.
HS Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Must possess and maintain Commercial Driver's License (Class A).
Graduation/Successful completion from Certified Driving Academy; and at least a year of driving experience.
Must maintain violation free driving record. Basic reading, writing, addition and subtraction skills. Ability to work up to 70 hours per week during high-peak project times.
