Position Overview:
Lead and mentor a dedicated paving crew on diverse projects throughout the Willamette Valley and Western Oregon. This position offers competitive compensation, state-of-the-art equipment, and the advantage of minimal overnight travel - allowing for a better work-life balance.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all paving crew activities including scheduling, project layout, and material management
- Drive quality control and project efficiency while maintaining our high standards
- Collaborate with project stakeholders including DOT inspectors, PMs, and property owners
- Mentor crew members and foster a strong safety culture
- Oversee daily production goals and material yields
- Maintain detailed project documentation
Technical Requirements:
- Proven expertise in asphalt paving operations and best practices
- Strong understanding of mix designs and material specifications
- Equipment operation experience (particularly with screeds and pavers)
- Knowledge of ODOT specifications (a plus)
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of verifiable asphalt paving experience
- Valid Oregon driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Physical ability to assist crew as needed
Preferred Certifications:
- CDL
- Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS)
- Flagger Certification
- First Aid/CPR

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
