Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ordinary Seaman to join our maritime team. As an Ordinary Seaman, you will play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of our vessels, ensuring safety and efficiency while delivering exceptional service. Duties
- Assist in the navigation and operation of the vessel under the supervision of senior crew members.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery, ensuring all systems are functioning properly.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers, addressing their needs and ensuring a pleasant experience.
- Prepare meals and maintain cleanliness in the galley area if assigned cooking duties.
- Participate in safety drills and adhere to all safety protocols while on board.
- Handle rigging tasks as required, including setting up and securing equipment for various operations.
- Collaborate with fellow crew members to ensure smooth operations during voyages.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting and maintaining vessel equipment.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with passengers and provide hospitality.
- Previous experience in hospitality or cooking is a plus, enhancing the onboard experience for guests.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic maritime environment.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to rigging, navigation, and vessel operations.
- Must be physically fit and able to perform manual labor as required by the role.
- An up-to-date Maritime License is required, with an Ordinary Seaman endorsement.
