Sunnyside Valley Irrigation District is seeking a full-time Health and Safety Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and carrying out the Districts’ health and safety program, including conducting new employee safety training and organize training and recertifications for employees. Performing inspections of construction sites, and work areas for compliance with Washington state law. Desirable qualifications include: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Safety Director (CSD), or equivalent. Individual will be required to maintain training certifications for the following: flagger training; forklift training; first aid/CPR; confined space training; fall protection; hazard communication; and traffic control safety. Minimum qualifications include a Two-year A.A. degree with emphasis in industrial safety and risk management or equivalent experience. Compensation range is $34.50 to $42.00 DOQ.
