Summit Construction and Development is a leading company in the civil construction industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. Our portfolio includes a variety of construction projects: Grading, Clearing and Grubbing, Demolition, Underground Utilities (Storm, Sewer, Water), Concrete Work, and Asphalt Paving. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Construction Superintendent to oversee our construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

***Candidates without HORIZONTAL public sector/civil construction experience will NOT be considered!***

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

· Coordinate and supervise the work of all construction activities, including subcontractors and laborers.

· Elaborate Daily Reports using company software

· Develop and maintain construction schedules, and ensure all project milestones and deadlines are met.

· Coordinate and report any testing required by contract

Site Management:

· Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards.

· Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the construction site promptly and effectively.

· Implement and enforce site safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Communication:

· Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients

· Facilitate clear and effective communication among all parties involved in the project.

· Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Quality Control:

· Ensure that all construction work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.

· Conduct quality control inspections and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards.

· Address and rectify any deficiencies or non-compliance issues.

Resource Management:

· Manage and allocate resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment.

· Ensure that all materials and equipment are available on-site as needed and that they are used efficiently.

· Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budget constraints.

Qualifications:

Experience:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the civil construction industry.

Certifications:

· Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, Blue Card, Wex, and Traffic Control) are a strong plus.

Skills:

· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

· Excellent leadership and team management skills.

· Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Proficient in construction management software and tools.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
