Role:
The Groundman assists the team in building, repairing, and maintaining telecommunication distribution systems. The Groundman is responsible for preparing and cleaning construction sites, loading and unloading building materials to be used, operating equipment and machines, and helping craft workers with their duties.
Requirements:
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent, and at least one (1) year experience.
- On-the-job training offered. Must be available to work long periods including evenings and weekends when necessary.

Responsibilities:
Clean and prepare the construction site for work, removing debris and possible hazards
Works safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work of energized and de-energized overhead and underground lines.
Assists with installing transformers, lightening arrestors, cutouts, cross-arms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
Sets poles and anchors.
Assist the team in completing their tasks more effectively and meeting project objectives.
Identify utilities and watch dig crew dig to prevent utility hits.
Clean up and maintain equipment.
Restock trucks with supplies ensuring crews have the proper tools and supplies to complete the job.
Securing the safety of yourself and others.
Operating vehicles and equipment in a professional manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
