Browe Construction Co. is seeking an EXPERIENCED Traffic Control Crew Lead offering you the opportunity to work in a dynamic construction environment where safety is paramount. If you have the necessary skills and experience, we invite you to apply for this challenging role.
How you will contribute:
· Assist with set up, maintain and remove temporary work zones to include warning signs, traffic cones and rumble strips according to ATSSA and DOT regulations
· Oversee lane closures, lane shifts and work zone set up
· Communicate with drivers and pedestrians to provide directions and ensure compliance with traffic regulations
· Monitor and hold accountable traffic control flaggers
· Monitor traffic flow and adjust control measures as needed to maintain safety
· Report any incidents or issues to the appropriate authorities and Traffic Control Manager
· Ensure Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties
· Assist with loading and unloading work zone equipment, execute flagging operations in work zones and other duties as needed
Who you are and what you bring:
· Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
· Must be 21 years of age or older with 3+ years of safe driving history
· MUST possess the following current certifications:
o Certified Flagger
o Work Zone Installer or Traffic Control Technician
o Work Zone Supervisor or Traffic Control Supervisor
· Must have 2+ years Traffic Control Lead experience
· Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, pedestrians, and coworkers
· Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
· Strong attention to detail to accurately follow traffic control plans
· Physically capable to perform traffic control duties, stand for long periods of time and work in various weather
conditions with limited breaks
· Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
· Have reliable transportation to and from work and sustainable communication to receive work schedule
