North Country is currently servicing in six states and is seeking an experienced Winter and Landscape Services Foreman to join our team.
Job Overview:
As a Full Time Winter and Landscape Services Foreman, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a crew of landscape technicians in the maintenance and management of our clients' properties.
This position is based in the Albany to Glens Falls, NY market with crews dispatching out of Queensbury and Albany, NY. Travel is required.
You will oversee a range of tasks, including winter service operations, including plowing, shoveling, salting, and de-icing. lawn care, bed maintenance and irrigation. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a similar position, with a strong background in landscape maintenance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
· Lead and supervise a crew of landscape technicians, providing training and guidance as needed
· Manage and maintain a portfolio of commercial properties, including lawn and bed maintenance, tree work, irrigation, and landscape management
· Manage winter operations, including plowing, shoveling and de-icing.
· Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure that their expectations are met or exceeded
· Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order and properly maintained
· Ensure that all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and industry standards
· Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards
· Ideal candidate will be capable of preparing and presenting timely reporting to management on an ongoing basis
· Dedicated to LOS and SOW adherence with an eye to KPI metrics
· 75% billable hours
· Reports to Operations Coordinator
Qualifications:
· Must be Awesome!
· Valid Class D driver's license and clean driving record is required
· OSHA 10 is a plus
· Pesticide License is a plus
· SWPP Certification is a plus
· CDL License is a plus
· Spanish a plus
· At least 1 year of experience as a Working Foreman or a similar position is required
· Extensive experience in landscape maintenance, including lawn care, bed maintenance, and landscape management, as well as winter operations, including plowing, shoveling, salting, and de-icing
· Ability to lead and supervise a crew of landscape technicians, providing training and guidance as needed
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and team members
· Proficient in the use of landscape maintenance equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers
· Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to winter and landscape maintenance.
· Familiarity with Web tools, MS Office and Smart phone apps is required
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure that all work is completed to the highest quality standards
· Availability for full-time (plus OT), year-round work, including some overnights and travel
