Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Office Cleaner. As an Office Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within our facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Shifts include daytime and night time. Days include Wednesday and Friday. Cities include Norfolk.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming all areas of the medical office.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures, ensuring that they are well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, handrails, and light switches, using appropriate cleaning agents and methods.
- Empty and properly dispose of trash and medical waste following established protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness in patient examination rooms, waiting areas, reception areas, and administrative offices.
- Restock supplies, such as hand sanitizers, soap dispensers, and paper towels, as needed.
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a hygienic environment.
- Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to confidentiality protocols when handling sensitive and private information within the medical office setting.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and efficient cleaning routines.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in commercial or medical office cleaning is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment, and cleaning agents is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and protocols accurately.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks and complete them within specified timeframes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact courteously with staff, patients, and visitors.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and understanding of the importance of infection control in a medical environment.
- Flexibility to work during non-business hours, including evenings and weekends, if necessary.
