- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
- Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create comprehensive proposals
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges or opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
- Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients to secure contracts
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and make adjustments as necessary
- Provide support to project managers in tracking project progress and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints

- Proven experience in construction estimating or related role
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Proficiency in using construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid
- Excellent mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations

- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and subcontractors
- Ability to negotiate contracts and resolve conflicts effectively
