Responsibilities:
- knowledge of laying brick block stone pavers etc to construct or repair walls, foundations, chimneys, and other structures
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Mix mortar or other adhesives according to specifications
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and smooth materials
- Apply caulking, plaster, stucco, or other materials to fill gaps or cracks in structures, tuck pointing
- Follow safety guidelines and regulations on construction sites
- Set scaffolds, as needed
Skills:
- Proficient in bricklaying techniques and methods
- Knowledge of different types of bricks, blocks, stones and their uses
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions - ability to operate power tools
- Familiarity with operating heavy equipment is a plus
Note: Frame carpentry, carpenter, renovate, plaster, restore, tile laying are not directly relevant to the responsibilities of a Brick/Stone Mason.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $180.00 - $200.00 per day
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
