JOB SNAPSHOT:
As a Hardscapes Crew Leader within our Landscaping Construction division, you will play a crucial role in leading and executing hardscape installation projects to meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager of Landscape Construction, you will lead a team of landscapers in the installation of various hardscape elements, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Leadership and Supervision:
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a crew of landscapers in the installation of hardscape features, such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor living spaces.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to crew members, ensuring they understand project requirements and adhere to company standards and safety protocols.
Project Management:
- Collaborate with project managers to efficiently plan and execute hardscape installation projects, encompassing patios, walkways, retaining walls, and structural elements, optimizing resource and material usage.
- Show skill in hardscape installation techniques, including grading, leveling, and laying materials like pavers and stones to match design specs.
- Coordinate and schedule daily tasks, equipment usage, and material deliveries to ensure efficient project execution.
- Collaborate with project managers to review project plans and specifications, identify resource requirements, and address any issues or concerns.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the installation of hardscape features, ensuring work is performed according to design plans, specifications, and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular inspections of completed work to verify quality and identify any defects or deficiencies that require correction.
Equipment and Resource Management:
- Operate and maintain equipment and tools used in hardscape construction, ensuring they are in safe and working condition.
- Manage inventory of materials and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and other team members to provide updates on project progress, address concerns, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a shared commitment to project success.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hardscape construction, with demonstrated proficiency in the installation of various hardscape features.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in all aspects of hardscape construction, including the installation of intricate features such as paver patterns, intricate stonework, and custom-designed outdoor living spaces.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in using advanced equipment and tools specific to hardscape installation, such as concrete saws, plate compactors, and laser levels.
- Knowledge of hardscape materials, techniques, and industry best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and execution, with the ability to manage multiple hardscape construction projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
