Responsibilities of Heavy Equipment Mechanic:
- Will be traveling job site to job site performing repairs and troubleshooting company owned heavy equipment
- Such as oil changes and lubricating machinery
- Identify parts needed for several projects
- Assist in maintaining an accurate schedule and record of maintenance
- Ability to navigate a parts inventory database
- Perform welding operations on equipment
- Repair diesel vehicles and equipment
- Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
- Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle
- As a diesel technician you will work in a clean safe environment
Qualifications of Heavy Equipment Mechanic:
- Previous experience as a technician/ diesel technician
- Heavy Equipment and Diesel Truck Experience
- ASE Certification required
- Hazmat & Tanker Endorsements required
- Experience with CAT, John Deere, and Volvo preferred
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- Experience working with backhoes, excavator, pavers, rollers, etc.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience and understanding of hydraulics preferred
- Have CDL Training Program if interested in obtaining CDL preferred
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- 5+ years of diesel technician experience preferred
- diesel technician training is provided as well
