Pitlik & Wick is currently seeking an experienced and motivated CDL driver/operator with Tanker Endorsement for spraying asphalt emulsion. Operator will work in the company’s Pavement Maintenance – Chipseal Department and apply asphalt emulsion to roadways. Position also involves truck and equipment maintenance as well as other duties as assigned by the crew leader.
- Operates truck in safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, and residential and commercial projects
- Operates switches in vehicle to control amount of emulsion sprayed
- Performs daily pre trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and maintains vehicle logbook
- Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle
- Load and unload emulsion to and from tank.
- Assure product quality to the best of the Driver’s ability
- Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the supervisor
- Properly follow all company safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Keep vehicle in a clean and orderly condition
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Class A CDL & Tanker
- Must have the ability to drive a manual truck.
- Must pass DOT physical & drug screen
- MVR must meet company and DOT standards
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures
- Must maintain current driver’s license that meets state requirements
- Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA
- Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations
- Experience preferred
- Must have a smartphone or tablet
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
