Job Overview
As a Hardscape/Landscape Crew Leader, you will oversee and participate in the installation of various hardscape features, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, fire pits, and outdoor kitchens. In addition, knowledge of plants, construction, and landscaping practices are critical for our install team. You will manage a team of skilled laborers, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a crew of 2-3 team members in the installation of hardscape or landscape projects.
- Knowledge of hardscape and plant materials and proper care.
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Operate and maintain equipment, such as skid steers, compactors, and saws.
- Ensure proper site preparation, grading, and base installation.
- Install pavers, stone, concrete, and other hardscape materials with precision.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean job site.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hardscape or landscape installation.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Strong knowledge of hardscape or landscape materials, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and designs.
- Proficiency with equipment operation and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
